Orders & Shipping

How can I check the status of my order?
You may check the status of your order anytime online on Excition's Web site. Simply log in and click My Account. Because Excition provides personalized products we cannot make changes to your order after it has been printed. If you need to make a change, please contact us to verify whether your order has been processed.

How will my order be shipped?
Excition uses FedEx Ground to ship all products. This means that we cannot ship to Post Office boxes. If you need another method of shipping please contact us.

We also offer free in-store pickup at our store in Seattle, WA. This option is not available for all schools. If you'd like to pick-up your order, please choose In-Store Pickup as your shipping method when you are placing your order.

How long will it take to process my order?
An order is typically processed within 24 hours of the time it was placed. You will receive an email when your order has been shipped or is ready to pick up in the store. We work hard to get your commencement products to you before graduation. To facilitate quick delivery please make sure your provide a valid shipping address when you place your order.

I am not satisfied with my products can I return them?
We are dedicated to providing you with quality commencement products. Because Excition provides personalized products all sales are final. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact ordersupport@excition.com or call toll free 1(877) 896-9399 within 14 calendar days of receiving your order. For more information about our sales and returns policies refer to the Sales and Returns page.

When is the deadline for ordering announcements?
Excition will be accepting orders all the way up to commencement day and afterwards as well. Orders are processed within 24 hours of placing your order.

I only need a few announcements, can I order less than the minimum on your website?
Because announcements are personalized with each order, Excition requires a minimum number per order. The minimum is necessary to minimize setup and printing costs, which is a savings we then pass along to you.

Personalized Products

How can I change the name that shows on the announcement?
Our interactive designer defaults to using the name you used when you created an account. You can change the name that shows on the announcements by clicking the Name section (at the very top) when you personalize the announcements. You an specify a First, Middle, and Last name that will be printed on the announcements.

My campus has a special text they require, how can I get that printed on the announcements?
Some schools within the university have worked with us to provide a special text that differs from the main university announcement. If your school has created a special text, the school name will be available as a separate campus when you choose your school on the Excition home page. You can also choose your campus on the announcement designer page.

If you are a director for a school and would like to create a custom text for your students, please feel free to contact us.

What if my major isn't available on your web site?
We strive to provide an accurate list of degrees and majors, unique to each school that we work with. However, if you don't see your degree or major listed you can select Other from the drop-down list and type it in to the text box.

How do I add multiple degrees to my announcement text?
You can easily add multiple degrees to your announcements simply by clicking the Add Another Degree button in the interactive designer. You can add up to three degrees.

Why isn't the location and time of the ceremony printed in my announcements? Our standard announcements do not include the location, date, and time of the commencement ceremony because often these events are ticketed and the announcements could be confused with an invitation. You can include the more detailed ceremony information by selecting Show date, time, and location in the interactive designer.

Why aren't the dates of my graduation available?
Our standard announcements print the date of the main university ceremony. You can use the interactive designer to show an alternate commencement date of your choosing. If you choose to show the date, time, and location of the ceremony you can choose from a list of ceremonies provided by the school.

How can I change the line breaks in my announcements?
You can add a line break by including the up-caret symbol ( ^ ) in your announcement text. Please refer to our Adding Custom Line Breaks page for more information.

Can you print in foreign languages?
Yes we can print in foreign languages. Please contact Excition to arrange for this service.

I can't get the text quite right can you help?
At Excition we are dedicated to providing personalized announcements that accurately reflect your achievements. If you can't get the text you want using our interactive designer, please contact us. We are happy to work with you to compose the text you want at no additional cost.

Account Information

Do I have to create an account to view my cards?
We require you to create an account to personalize and preview the inside text of your announcements and make a purchase. Excition stores your personalized information so that you do not have to personalize your card every time you return to our site. Creating an account does not obligate you to purchase and your information is completely secure and will not be solicited. For more information about our privacy policies please go to our Privacy page.

To create an account click Personalize for any personalized product. In the first step you are asked to either sign in or create a new account. To create an account you will need to provide your name, email address, and define a password.

I forgot my password, how can I retrieve it?
If you forget your password for www.excition.com please contact us to have a temporary password assigned. You can then sign in using the temporary password and change your password on the My Account page. You can change your password anytime from the My Account page.

How can I manage my account on your website?
You can manage your personal information, including your password, billing information, and check in on orders on your my Account page. You can view your account information online anytime by signing in and clicking My Account.

Etiquette Tips

Sending Announcements
If the announcement is being sent with an invitation to the ceremony and/or a graduation party, they should be sent out 10-14 days before the event. If the announcement is being used to announce the accomplishment of graduation, they can be sent up to 14 days after the ceremony.

Addressing & Envelopes
Your announcements may come with both inner (smaller) and mailing (larger) envelopes. The inner envelope holds the announcement and is often sealed with a university themed etiquette seal. Address it informally such as:

Grandmother or Aunt Linda and Uncle Ken

The mailing envelope should be handwritten as legible as you can with black or blue ink. Avoid using abbreviations in the mailing address.

The return address label can either be placed on the back flap of the outer envelope. in the upper left corner on the front. Insert the announcement into the envelope folded side first with the announcement front facing the flap.

Note Cards
A short note of thanks, written by hand, should go to everyone who had sent a gift. This note should acknowledge the gift and be sent as promptly as possible.

When you receive a check as a present, it is in poor taste to mention the amount in your thank you letter. You should be more concerned about the present itself than the amount of the check. It will, however, make the giver happy if you mention how you plan to spend the money.
